The Aquarius-class vessel is a bi-purpose ship that can be put into regular exploratory service or can serve as a patrol cutter along the various borders of the Federation, specifically the Neutral Zone. The quick and maneuverable nature of the design makes it the perfect vessel for chasing down illegal transports or bandit vessels. When Starfleet finally phased out and decommissioned the Miranda and Excelsior classes after nearly 100 years of service, the Aquarius was developed to fill the place of both. Simple modifications to one variation can ready it for the other, such as adding a larger brig compliment to accommodate criminals for transport, or additional sensor placements for enhanced exploration capabilities.

Looks like a Norway/Akira hybrid. Great work on the mesh AV, but I'm not buying the design. Even if it's a post Miranda and Excelsior design, thers's no need for it. The Federation still has the Norway, Springfield, and New Orleans classes, all at basically the same dimensions, but with better armaments, and from the desciption above...better facilities. In fact even the Sabre could fill this role, but ultimately the Defiant class would definately be my ideal choice for border patrol. None the less great job on the model bro !!!!!!!!!!

I agree with MP on the technical stuff but all BS aside it's worth havin. It's not like there aint other  examples  of a dozen fan made ships for the same role in  trek  modding anyways.  Besides...spoonager comes  to  mind
