Considering tax season is coming up...

I have been considering, since I plan on being an accountant soon, perhaps I should consider doing my own taxes for once.  I was considering gettingTurbo tax, since it is supposed to work with my copy of quicken, which i use for personal finance tracking. 
Does anyone have any experince with it?  Is there a better product I should think about? 
Any other experience doing taxes yourself in here?  I've never done this on my own, and I don't think the accounting courses I've taken have taught me much about taxes, so I'll be in virgin territory, but I hope to learn a few things.  So rmable as much as you like on the subject, I could use the info.

i use the online version of turbo tax, it works fine for me, i've also used the software when i go home.  Its quite easy to follow.  Can't tell you if there is anybetter, but i can say turbotax is pretty good from my standpoint

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years.  It's quite good, and if I remember correctly, will review previous years for tax changes...

I itemize, and it integrates with quicken quite well, so if you use the categories, it picks out what you need.

Keeping in mind, I truly am a cheap B**tard(part Scottish, part American Indian, and good old New England Yankee), I will not pay anyone to do or file my taxes when I can do it for my self for FREE. Having said that, I go to IRS.gov and look for the free way to efile. I always wind up at Taxact. I have filed with them for 3 years in a row without a single problem. In fact I filed this years taxes yesterday and cleared through the IRS last night. I will have my refund on 2/3.  I find Taxact to very complete. They don't miss anything. The only thing is you must have All of your paperwork ready to go when you sit down to file. If you don't, you can save your session and resume it later right where you left off but I find it easier to be ready and prepared when you sit down the first time. I spent a total of 2 hours doing the complete federal 1040 with 3 extra schedules and the numbers for the state form.

PS, taxact charges me to file the state form so I don't do it. I get the numbers from them and I telefile my self for free. I get my refund from the state in 3 days after I make the phone call.
