KCW PvP Summary
« on: January 21, 2006, 08:35:38 am »
PVP VP points are only awarded for ship from the 4 Opposing Houses
*** THE HOUSE CLAIMING THE POINTS MUST POST THE KILL/ FORCED RETREAT**
If the House claimng the points doesn't post the kill, they won't be counted.
Anything up to a day later is fine.
Any posts "Oh I forgot,I killed someone/player xxx last week, I think on Thursday..."
won't be counted

This is simply to prevent what has happened on past kill threads where you have to sort out
and match up the "I killed/was killed by" posts.
I'm lazy, I don't want to have to do it.

PVP Houses
Defeating a pilot from an opposing PVP house is worth 5VP
Defeating a pilot from an opposing Ter house is worth 2VP
Chasing a pilot from a PVP house off 2VP
Chasing a pilot from a TER house off (in an even numbered battle) 1VP

Territorial Houses
Defeating any Pilot is Worth 3VP
Chasing Off a PVP pilot is worth 2VP
Chasing off a TER pilot is worth 1VP

PVP Pilots may not disengage from PVP unless outnumbered 2-1
If they do leave the map they count as destroyed
The odds are calculated at the time a ship want to leave
ie- Two PVP ships are fighting 3 Enemies, The may not run at this time
(as it's 3-2) if one of them dies the odds are 3-1 so they can leave.

In addition to hte VP's surrendered, the disengagement penalty is 1 Hour.

VP's are awarded to the House who's ship fires the killing shot.

So...if you're drafted into a 2v1 or 3v1 situation, you STILL give up VPs for disengaging?

If this is the interpretation, this is a horrible rule.

I assume we are just making a house thread for kills?... Seems to be the trend out there, hope you guys can keep track of all that.  :P  :o  ;)

I also think a PvP house running off the map in a fair matchup should warrant more points... no incentive for staying in the fight.

Perhaps I dont follow your thoughts on why this is a horrible rule.  You ran, you lost, you dont lose points, the other team gets points.  Most everyone knows by now, or will soon, that you shoud fly in pairs at least anywhere near a hot zone.  If you want to fly solo, fly away from contested areas.
