In a challenge match, you cannot run or you are considered destroyed. You are supposed to SD your ship if it happens in the campaing on a hex. BTW, Guns last night vs us also ran in a Challenge match so we will be counting him as dead.

Now it gets complicated....
Disengagement VP only counts if someone flees from an even numbered battle.

HOWEVER this is determined at mission start

ie House A has 3 pilots jump House B's 2 pilots, House B pilots may disengage (although they are bound by disengagement)
House A has 2 pilots jump House B's 2 pilots, House B pilots may not disengage until one of them is dead.
and the second pilot will surrender the above mentioned VP. (but will keep his or her ship)

Then there's this from the challenges section:Once a challenge fight has begun, you are not allowed to withdraw.
(well you can, but you count as dead)

That's how it works. In the above listed battle, you get 2 kills if it was a challenge match, I guess.
House leaders especially need to be aware of exactly how the scoring works.

Of course that would be easier if you have a Hex-to-English interpreter...

I also notice a lot of pilots still reporting running a player off from UNEVEN battles, (2v1 3v2, etc) those aren't worth anything per the rules change, might want to pass that along to your pilots.

I am allowing my guys to report uneven or even running, then sorting it out for points after. I would rather see them report one that doesn't count than to see them not report one that might. but thx LK.

Wow -- ok 3v3 game

KHH_shadowLord -- KHH_Jacobyi -- KHunt c7 vs (Oh duck in c7 too) vs Dly Mutt and ladyfreak all in D7W

So scoring -- btw we had them outgunned and they flew great --

Anyways -- KHH gets two kill one on mutt by duck and one on Lady by jaco -- Khunt (diehard) gets kill on dfly who had khunt bounty - we flew this game as a well planned mission -- they did the best they could agaisnt bad odds --

In a hell of a battle ---

C7 Khunt and C7 HyKull vs D7W's by Miike and Riksy -- with Planet ai and def ---

C7's both live and both claim one kill -- exact kills were impossible to tell in heat of battle and it was agreed to claim it one each -- they held us up for 1 hr and 45 min and did a damn good job of fighting

So KHH gets a pvp kill -- as do the kunts
