I get a MAJOR bug in KCW

I do not gain prestige. I do not register the damage acquired in a mission after the mission. I do not lose supplies used up in a mission. The only way I lose prestige is when I lose a ship.

My call name in the game is Stargazer.

Someone help. :(

Add a '2' at the end of your name. You already made a technical note your 1st account dont work. So dont worry about it. Im a dyna Admin like Hexx. We are here to help ya. Trust us. Create another account. You can use phony email addys for GSA account names. You dont need real emails when you make a new account. GL.

Exact problem i get, lose connection to server after a battle, and i get nothing afterwards :(

Chekov found the Botany Bay and khan hijakced and killed the evil reliant crew in an effort to destroy the genesis device.    Ahh i love it :D The alternate universe rocks.

Well, ya... that happens. Turn off ur firewall and any virus protection so u dont lose connect. Then everythings fine.

Turned off my fire wall, disabled my virus scanner, and restarted, plus changed my log on to be all lower case. Still does not work.

Please delete the accounts: Stargazer, Stargazer-2, and stargazer.

Maybe setting up this DMZ thing might help. But I don't know what IPs to plug in there.

Just to compare with players for whom the KCW is working.

1) I see the lyran empire interface and cursor. (I am in the house of D'emon.)

2) When I log in I see the proper titles when I right click on a hex. (Belongs to the House of D'emon, etc.) But after I play a mission, this reverts to OP standard titles: Belongs to Lyran Empire, etc.

3) I use Yahoo DSL, but so do millions of other people. There is no router, to my knowledge.

4) I tried this game without the firewall and anti-virus (I have Win2k, so no inbuild firewall), it did no help. I did this properly, unistalling and restarting.

5) I have installed, in that order, OP4+, Network fix, GW5, KCW specific missions and specs in Assets and MetaAssets. This was a fresh install to see if it might fix my problem.

6) I have no problems playing the missions. I have been drafted by both friend and enemy. Only the effects of the mission do not register on the server.

What is different from a working setup?

Forgot to add: I get no problems like this on the Forge, or the Tavern. My loses there are recorded. :P

I had to do that before reinstalling the OP4, etc.   :-\

far from unique actually dizzy :P ive got pretty much the same issues as him... chat registers after game, anythign server side registers fine but nothing client side...

Ok so 2 peeps with problems Ive never encountered b4. Im clueless. Wouldnt know where to begin if a complete reinstall and new accounts dont fix it and you've got all your firewalls and stuff off. You have the right target for the shortcut exe launcher?

This should not be happening at all. When you right click a hex it will display as the original empire, never the house. I am very curious to know how this might be happening though. EDIT: The Scan line will show as the original empire, the relationship line will show as the house (or Empire full names settings).

The network fix is not necessary (OP+4 does it anyway) GW5 (I'm guessing you mean SGO5) should not be installed. If it is, it should be uninstalled before KCW installation.

I will look at creating a KCW installer later today.

It must be something the both of you have done in setup for KCW...

Lemme chack your ISP info to see if you two have anything in common.
Edit: you're both on completely different networks, so that shouldn't be the problem. (bca11 is practically next door to the server and Omega is way up north)

After thinking on it some more I suspect you may be missing the attached file (not actually a mission, but required client side for NW scripts to work). Unzip it and place the .scr file in \Assets\Scripts.

Alternatively, I have posted a full installer and instructions here:

Deleteing accounts really can't be done without hex-editing the DB (I do not know how to do this). 

If you accoutn is hosed feel free to create a new one and ingnore hexx's rule (like the rest of them to  :) )

Maybe SBC does use a router somewhere and I need to try that DMZ thing, and what is the IP address of the server?

It does appear that SBC uses a router. On the modem access page I saw something called a "Routing Table."

The problem is that I don't know how to access it.

Edit: I looked at ipconfig and it said there is IP routing enabled.
