Twin saucers... hmmm... what purpose would that serve?

Give the center section it's own nacalle- preferably a centerline moount. Possibly a side-by-side on the same pylon.

Now, we have a ship that can colonize planets VERY efficiently. The saucer sections look small enough to LAND- correct me if I'm wrong on scale. This means that they can be used for atmospheric travel and are capable of loading/unloading OBSCENE amounts of cargo/supplies when a new planet is suitable for colonization. The central section can act as a space-borne factory, producing needed equipment in a safe, controled enviroment and providing a safe haven for families and 'non-essential' personell during the early stages of colonization.

That's just one possible use for this design... I like the thoughtfulness and originality a LOT.

That's close to an idea I had for a ship with this sort of design...  give the "secondary" ("tertiary?" ;) ) hull a warp nacelle and a bridge module, and then make that part the "mothership" and each saucer a detachable, warp-capable, "mission module."
