Finding ISP settings
« on: January 08, 2006, 05:36:39 pm »
Where on my computer can I find what the current settings are for my ISP? Need to know so I can set up a wireless router/cable modem.

I've asked Comcast tech support but all they can tell me is that they have a service (at a cost of course) where a tech will come out and set up.

Win9x: Start..Run.. "winipcfg"

WinNT/XP: Start..All Programs..Accessories..Command Prompt.. type "ipconfig /all" (without the quotes) and press enter.

Also, have a look at the properties of the tcp/ip protocol in the control panel network utility.
