"... the Klingons have legends of where the souls of those lost in space go.

"Before Kahless spread his words, the Black Fleet was the resting place of those Klingons who lost their lives in killing depths of space.

"That belief lives on, and it is said that in the Empire's darkest hour of need, the Black Fleet will return... These are the dead."

Nox noctis has cado,  is est nostrum vicis......

Nos es usquam.

Nos es undique.

Nos es nusquam.

Nos mos adveho vobis, exsisto valde exterritus.....

Rather poor Latin to English translation I made:

This night they perish. This is our time.
We are anywhere.
We are from all sides.
We are nowhere.
We sail to you.  We spring forth (maybe from the earth or in a terrifying manner)

I would write it:

In noctis, interent.  Hoc nostrum tempo est.
Ubique summus.
Undique occurrimus.
Nusquam summus.
Vobis advehimus.  Ex terris exsistimus.

Not sure about the last line as to what the English is supposed to be, but I am also very rusty with Latin.

In Latin, personal pronouns like we or they, or he or she are understood from the conjugation of the verb.  However personal pronouns may be added for emphasis.  "Es" is clearly wrong for first personal plural of the present tense of "to be".  That is summus.

Conjugation of to be in the present tense.
SingularPlural
1st Personsumsummus
2nd Personesestis
3rd Personestsunt

When you gave the word night to the translator it gave you the singular nominative case of night, or nox, and its generative singular equivalent, noctis, from which you drop the "is" and use that stem to do the declension of nox.  You have to be careful as to what those translators spit out as clearly in this case it gave you "night" twice so to speak.

+ karma, Lepton for that brief on Latin. Always intruiged by it. I have bookmarked several english/latin translation sites where I play with the words on occasion. Cool language. Not so dead.

You can pick up a nice Latin<->English dictionary at bookstores, just look for: "Pocket Oxford Latin Dictionary - Second Edition"  You can learn a lot of the language out of it.

It's a complex language with multiple verb types each with slightly differing ways of conjugating verbs and differing type of nouns and many cases that nouns can be put into.    Not to mention all the different types of dependent clauses that the language has.  It has certainly seemed imposing to many, but studying it taught me more about English and how it is structured than I learned in English class.  Confronting a language with as many careful rules as Latin makes one learn the terms and concepts associated with talking about any language.

Mood, Tense, Case, Subject, Object, Predicate, Pronoun, Article, Clause, etc, etc.

Latin is easy just go to a translation site online post what it says then let Lepton fix it  :P

Good Job Lepton!!!!

BTW your translation was pretty close of what I was trying to post, which was:

Night has fallen, it is our time.....

We are anywhere.

We are everywhere.

We are nowhere.

We are coming for you, be very afraid!

Can you do a patch up job on the Latin for this, seems the online translators don't do as well as hoped and I never studied Latin at all  :P
