basically it is like this:

example=152 Mid Frigs only.

Means your ship  must be a Frigate(in the frigate part of the shiplist)
your ship must be 152 bpv or lower.

As extras you are allowed(over and above the ship) :
10 spare parts
full marines
full fighters of the best available
full shuttles
full drones of the fastest available(your choice of light or heavy drones)

Also, there is now a chance I may make the tourney as my wife now wishes to travel out of town with me, fascilitating a quicker return trip(only a 1 nighter, not a 2 nighter)

Only problem I see with this Green is that I would foresee a team purposely take a wrong combo, note the ships the other team took, call a wrong combo, get no penalty, get the ships that are best suited to go against the combo, etc.....      sounds like a great scouting tactic.

Which also exists in the previous rules - 5 min to call a bad combo, F12 it, go back to verify and then restart w/ a valid combo.   



But the rule still remains on the innocent to point out the error.  As long as they get away w/ it for 5 min...scott free.

I would like to maybe give this a go but I have never participated in an online tourney before.  Plenty of D2 play, but no GS or other online tourney.  Done a couple of IP games and am familiar with the game and with GS enough to get it set up okay.  Unfortunately though, I have no "partner".  Are there usually people who show up for these who are looking for partners or would I need to track one down before hand?

Just get on GSA and teamspeak if ya can, and they'll find one for ya. Lots of teams get figured out about an hour before the tourny starts


Edit: I hope a lot of you "old farts come back from the dead" show up so us young whippersnappers can size you all up before the KCW starts.

 gd it    do u guys look for things for me to rule on    i think it clearly states in the rules.the ships cannot be identical including cammand varients from the same race.

  i think u mentioned two dif pirates races ,so yes,u can fly it,despite that they have the same designation
