Now THAT is what I call a beautiful design...no kit bashing here (well, maybe a little...)

Anyway, good work!

UPDATE:

mesh nearly complete, just have the bridge dome and rear phaser strips to do
how ever I did do one design change, I used my own nacelle design as I truely did not like the look of the origanal nacelle design on this ship. I did keep a copy of the mesh with the origanal nacelles just incase some of you would prefer them.

I'm not a big fan of Post-Tng designs (the Soverign and the Defiant are about it for my tastes) but I must admit this design intrigues me some.  Who designed the sketches for this?  It almost looks like that the saucer section could seperate with its own warp drive system.  Basically a ship with two Warp Cores that can seperate into two vessels if needed.  If so, I think I like this design more then the Prometheous.  The prometheous just seemed too be too compact and complicated on its outward design perameters, but this ship looks like it might be easier to construct.

Any chance of a 2 nacelle version of this being released??  I like the overall design,  but that nacelle support structure on the top really ruins the design for me. Anyway,  great looking mesh.

Azel/Atolm designed it.

Dude, didn't you read my above statement?  Maybe its suppose to have 4 naccels like that.  Maybe it can seperate into two vessels like the Galaxy class with there own Stardrive.  I'm not sure what would be the point of the upper structure if this isn't the case.

you could also separate the saucer section like on the prometheous (sp?)

I didn't say I didn't get it,  I just said I don't like it.  The prometheus doesn't look like the hunchback of Notre Dame when it's not seperated.  I'm not knocking Atolm's skills,  but that one aspect of this design doesn't work for me.  And to get away from my negativity, I will once again say that this is a dang fine mesh  ;D.

I really like how this design is coming out.  And I think it looks neat too see it in seperated ships in those few pics above.  Also, I think I kinda like the original Warp engines then the new ones, but thats just my preference.

question, where will you release this model at?

What time period is this ship suppose to be built by?  Is it a Post TNG era, or is somewhere after the Nemisis Movie, or possibly before that?

Not real sure of the time period   though I would think post TNG. I'll have to get with Atolm to find out for sure

Also, can you make the textures with Galaxy/Ambassador style lifeboats on her?  I've never been a big fan of the Soverign type Lifepods.  Look like flying pianos or something.

Missed this one earlier, this mesh kicks arse!

One thing though (don't shoot me) I just don't like the nacel rears. Kinda plain but that's TNG era. TMP was more exciting. Can't wait to see the final texture job on it though. Did you impliment that type of seperation you posted or was that just conjectural?

Cool, that is what I thought too when I first saw this design in the schematics.  Thats why it has 4 Warp Engines, and most likely 2 seperate Warp Cores, too allow it to seperate into two different ships.

I dont know how I missed this, it is the best looking ship I have seen in a long time.

I love the design, I love the fact there will be 2 ships in one, and maybe 3. This is an awesome piece of work.

Very nice.  I think the Textures really help out the design too.  Also, I like too add that I like how you got the Square Lifeboats on the design instead of those "Piano" lifepods we see on the Soverign Class.  That was the only complaint I have ever had of the Soverign Class Design, I prefer the Lifeboats we see on the Ambassador, Galaxy, and Intrepid Classes.

ok been speaking to Azel today he was wondering where the second deflector is. as the ship is supposed to have 2. i am personaly wondering if thertes going to be any follow up release with the ship in its seperate sections of MVAM as MP confirmed a while ago

First I didn't know there was a second deflector. Second yes there will be a split ship released in a few days. I'm finishing up a few details on it.

I have an idea where it can go.  If ya remember AV we discussed it briefly.  Look directly above and behind the main bridge.

If ya want we can fix it.  Should take about 45 min or less.  I can send ya the one sheet that gets the fix.  I'll be on MSN for a little while this evening.

It's your model ...  simply give the word.

Just a suggestion here, if your having problems implementing a "Secondary" deflector too the top portion of the ship, you could do what the Galaxy Class has.  If I recall, the Galaxy Class has a small, imbedded Deflector in the bottom half of the Saucer Section.  This is mostly used when the Saucer Seperates from the Battle Hull, but it can be used as a Back up if the Primary Deflector goes off line.  Just an idea.

ok been speaking to Azel today he was wondering where the second deflector is. as the ship is supposed to have 2. i am personaly wondering if thertes going to be any follow up release with the ship in its seperate sections of MVAM as MP confirmed a while ago

First I didn't know there was a second deflector. Second yes there will be a split ship released in a few days. I'm finishing up a few details on it.

I never saw any sketch that showed a second deflector on this ship. Does Azel have a pic ?
