Topic: Okay, I need a little help... (Read 3119 times)

For some reason, I keep getting "missing StarfleetOP.exe" when trying to get on most servers...

I didn't get this issue after AOTK2, when I tried to get onto the Forge. It just started when trying to get into SGO5...

I thought it might have to do with the fact that my anti-virus killed off GSA, so I reinstalled that. No help.

I did a full reinstall, deleting my entire SFC-OP folder, that didn't help either.

Anti-virus has been off since the installations began.

Ideas that I could do to fix this before the party starts?

Edit your shortcut as reccomended in the 2552 patch readme? (and use it to start the game).

Running an on-demand virus scanner?

Check your version of the executable. View the version in the file details, and then we can check that against the version that's on the server.

Make sure your shortcut isn't set to Win98 mode.

Edit: assuming you aren't on Win98, that is.

A figment of your imagination ... a gin induced nightmare (less nasty than the J'inn induced ones) ... you see nothing ... you remember nothing ...

Um ... embarassing noob question while I'm at it (should've asked before wiping your memory) ... which key combo saves your weapon/power settings in mission? Shift something? Control something? I've been fiddling away randomly, but haven't hit on it yet ..

I think it is shift-Scroll lock
