And So It Begins..
« on: January 03, 2006, 07:47:55 pm »
The Empire is in Chaos

The Emperor is Dead.
For the first time in history, a female not serving merely as a figurehead has claimed the throne. Dissident Noble Houses
have refused to acknowledge her rule. Claiming that the High Council was bought they have declared their own Leader as the true ruler
of the Empire and have called upon their vassal houses and allies to support them. The Empress ordered the Imperial Navy to put the
rebellion down before it caused any damage to the Empires might.
The Navy refused
Perceiving this as support for their cause the House of wIysuhl sent a squadron of F5's to the fleet docks to secure an unassailable powerbase.
The squadron was destroyed en route by unknown forces.
Deciding that only the House of S'uh'nih would have dared move against them, House wIysuhl launched several small time on target attacks destroying
a sizeable percentage of House S'uh'nih's merchant shipping.
House S'uh'nih called it's banners .
Admiral K'anada , the greatest fleet commander the Klingons had ever known, surprised everyone by withdrawing the fleet from it's bases near the core of the Empire
Massive fleet reinforcements were rushed to all Klingon borders where the Imperial Fleet announced that what was developing was an internal Klingon matter.
Any Empire trying to intervene in internal Klingon matters would be committing an act of war. Any Klingon House trying to secure outside aide would be committing treason
against the Empire and would be annihilated.
Lord Admiral K'anada's last  message to the High Council and the Noble Houses was
"Winner takes all"

The Houses...
LOYALIST
House S'uh'nih The Empress and those minor houses having sworn allegiance.
Not particularly noted for their martial skills, Their Captains have surprised some in the opening salvos of the war.
Fairly Strongly allied with House K'Hunt, the two form a formidable force. House S'uh'nih provides most of
the materials and strategic planning, House K'Hunt provides the fodder.

House K'Hunt A House generally criticised in Klingon society for it's legendary debauchery
The people criticizing are usually careful to make sure any house members are not around.
It's generally accepted that massive substance abuse,STD's, and extremely tight fitting leather uniforms have made these
warriors even less afraid of death than the normal Klingon warrior.

House Hy'kull House  Hy'kull finds itself in an odd place. For years they have been a close ally
of House wIysuhl, they were one of the first great houses to offer support to House wIysuhl at the start of the troubles.
For whatever reason their offer was rebuffed by House wIysuhl leadership. They were told to provide wIysuhl with ships
and crews, that would function under wIysuhl officers. Incensed by the insult, House Hy"kull made the odd claim that House
wIysuhl should be destroyed for daring to challenge the Empire. No formal recognition of the Empress has yet been made.

House of Korgath How the House of Korgath retains power as a major player no one knows.
It has exactly one warrior sworn to defend it. Of course Khurse is already a legend at a young age.
It remains to be seen if he can singlehandedly overthrow the rest of the ruling elite.
House S'uh'nih has grudgingly accepted his aide fro the time being.

Imperialists
House WIysuhl One of the more ancient Houses, they claim to be able to trace their
lineage back to the days of Kahless himself. Have sworn a blood oath to overthrow the Empress and her allies
Claiming that having so many of their ancestors serving in the Black Fleet that they could summon the dead themselves
to their aide.
Most of the other houses think they should cut back on the bloodwine.

House of D'emons A minor house with delusions of Grandeur.
House D'emons musters a small, yet efficient force. Declared for Wiysuhl when the Empress refused
the House Leader's offer to be her gimp.

House of HutDIch A house that hopes to use the present chaos to
improve their position. Concentrating more on economics than war, the House has not been as well
respected in council as it's leaders feel it should. With the huge disruption to House  S'uh'nih's economic empire
House HutDich hopes to be able to seize enough of the Empire's economic infrastructure to be able
to dictate who the next leader of the Empire will be.

House of K'hnshy'a Another up and comming house. House K'hnshy'a
leader's have put forth several new ideas and concepts that have confused and alienated many of the other houses
Deciding that the Klingon's role in the universe in to conquer it ,than pacify it, House K'hnshy'a has decided to begin
it's program by seizing all the resources needed to wage war. Once these have passed under their control the
second phase can begin
Phase 1) Seize Assets
Phase 2)
Phase 3) Pacification.

House S'uhn'ih denies all reponsibility for this F5 squadron destruction, we only sold the T-bombs to Nail, what he did with them was his own affair.   ;)
