hey all. I just downloaded OpenOffice 2.0 to give it a try. Anyone using it yet? What do you think?

haven't yet, But saw It. I might give It a try, however, I just don't use Office apps that often, But I'll see how IT opens up Some charts in SFC.

Upgraded from previous version...tried it out a bit and apps seem to be better integrated than before. Load times are better as well. Haven't tried it yet on any SFC maps though....

I've been using it since the day the final version was released.  I really like it.  I think it's much better than MS Office.

I might agree with you... it's just that one gets SOOO used to MS Office.  There are some things in the earlier version (actually I was using the very similar StarOffice) which I couldn't figure out how to do in theirs that I knew instantly how to do in MS's.

But one can learn and get used to almost anything.

I'm amazed by this new version.  It does almost everything I want it to do.

If I can get time to figure out how it handles macros (doubt it uses VB, and the exam board expect some coding for year 12 and 13) then I will have it installed onto every computer in my school.
