A notice to all veterans who get civilian health care
« on: December 06, 2005, 01:32:46 pm »
Ordered my health records from St. David's MedCen here in Austin to add to my VA records that I keep, and also to jet off to VA to be added. Got the bill, 160 bucks! Luckily the guy called me and said "Jack, you are a vet, if you have a P.O.C. (point of contact) with someone to VA, then your copies will get mailed to them and they are FREE OF CHARGE! Cool beans. It's people like that that work with our veterans that make me smile and feel proud to have been in the U.S. military.

So if you need copies from a civilian health care provider, you be sure to have a P.O.C. at VA and then get the copy from them, so it's free.
