I like the progression of the rules and terms and how the cugs/dyna guys are becomming associated with one another. Hopefully, lasting friendships will be made.

As another change for the better, I'd very much like to see every game hosted as Advanced and have the battle generator use a stardate system to determine the ships that are avaialbe instead of using 'Era'. Using the 'Date Introduced' spec for each ship, we could easily see what choices would be available should the battle generator select, as an example, a stardate of 2271. As in the pic below, we know this ship would be available, but a CAZ, which comes out in 2279 would not be. Using this method some ships will now be played that arnt ever chosen using the era method of availability and this will make the game that much more interesting.

Does the community at large think this would make matches cumbersome,,to have to look for the stardate of a ship,as opposed to early,mid,late and advanced?

i believe they will be after josh and i talk a bit.whether it'll be rbg or by year thingie,i don't know.  here's another idea? what do you all think of making it a tbpv=total basic value point ,and allowing each team to fly whatever they can get for the points that are offered?


 an example for those that don't know what i mean re: the tbpv  ----->  if  for game 1---> 400 mid  TBPV offered which gets devided up anyway between 3 players =for example could be  1 player flying  with 200  bpv and other 2 with 100 each =400,or split  150 x2 and 100 x1=400        or 180 x1, 150 x1,70 x1=400         1 final example  300 x1,50 x2=400tbpv

TBPV is not a good idea unless the teams and terms are done well in advance. It will take FOREVER for teams to pick.

 what if this is in place by wednesday or thursday at the latest? which it would be whether we do this tbpv or straight bpv.the point is u have to think a lot about what the other guy could be in.lots of combinations out there

I would be very skeptical that this would work. For one most peeps probably don't even know who they're going to be flying with until Saturday. Those that DO have teams and actually work up combos in advance are going to be relatively few.

TBPV is a fun element but plan on it taking a hell of a lot longer to set up matches. Most people will not do the legwork in advance, like we did with PBR.

That way you will see better how it would be recieved.  Many I know will not totally understand TBPV or the the rules. All the more wiser to do regular this Sat, and help those that need to know get the rules straight so it can be set solid for the following Sat.

can't say for now,whether it'll be rbg or tbpv,as Josh was thinking along the same idea.as for people and the rules,i feel it is fairly straigt forward,devide the points anyway each team wants( between 3 players)as log as it combines to  whatever the tbpv is,with the advantage of 8 races to choose from.  but i'll let u know by thursday,i'll inform Josh of soem resistance to a tbpv,for this coming week.we may have to go by majority rule,so if you think u r planning to be there for saturday,please say so in this thread  along with rbg or tbpv in your response,so we can both have an idea how many will be there,and what you would liek  .....ty

hailz all     i c not a lot of names in here for players that have volunteered thier time,to help 2 communities have fun ,maybe even make friendships for the 3v3 tourney on saturday night.we need at least 6 teams of 3 players to meet our minimum requirement. there must be 12 teams in total between cugs and dyna to run this,and i would hate to think ,we would need cugs players to fill out our ranks,to play cugs.so if u are planning to play or very likely gonna play,please post in here your availability.teams can be made up either saturday night,when we play or you can post your team in here ,anytime before the start time,preferably tonight,but not limited to tonight to play in it.Please remeber,one of the entents here,is to get players from cugs,to try out dynaverse campaigns,so that we have more players to fight against,and the best way to do that,is to show interest in thier style of play ie: the tourneys   thanks

 actually   Frey is getting Bonk to make one using stardates  so hell mite be around the corner.hopefully we'll cya there saturday nite.stardate battle generator a little further around the corner,but on the radar scope

Sorry bout taking so long. We added some TBPV (Team BPV) which teams can split any way they want. Here are the Rules and Terms :

Again we are flying under the Following Rules:
Sign up: Type in lobby jus say Me and Wings name
Match Type: 3v3 Battle Royale
Tourney open to All pilots
OP version Firesoul's 4.0
Game Speed is either 8 or 9 unless agreed by both Parties

2 Min. Lag/Drop Rule: Lag must be called with in first 2 minutes of Game start. if drop occurs before 2 minutes of game has been played , its an automatic RESTART. When more than 2 minutes have elasped in Game and a Player CRASHES or DROPS, The Wing must Play on to Games End unless Mutually Agreed by All parties to Restart Game/Match

10 Min. Forfeit Rule: You must Start Match within 10 minutes of Match Time or Team who doesn't show forfiets the Match

Take What U Can GEt: Space Dock and BPV use as you wish !

TBVP: Team BPV can be split anyway as long as it all adds up

Only where terms  STATE TBPV will Total BPV for team be used, otherwise 194 late means 194 late bpv for each player

Congrats to all... Strat, Risky, and Dfly, you guys flew great! I had alot of fun this tourney, some of the best 3v3 avtion in awhile. I really liked the TBPV selection and thought it went off pretty smooth.

My opinion only -- is 2v2 -- Duck hates 1v1...

As for terms I didnt mind the last set however could do without the X terms -- that being said I guess many GSA players live for x and we dyna dorks have to take that into account..

Josh maybe start a new thread here so others follow it more closely.

as we touched upon in gsa lobby... maybe a seperate night for a 1v1 tourney and keep saturdays for the team battle, when its more likely to get a better turnout.

Id be game for 1v1 myself if it was to happen, but Ive got some free time on my hands these days so battle anytime is good...
