I use a Palm m505. It is not top of the line, by any means, but it is a very good basic palm pilot. The highest point in my mind is that the battery recharges off of either the PC or a wall outlet. I'm not sure what they run for now, but it is not the latest model, so it shouldn't break the bank. They do make some organizers that aren't PDA's, but do sync to the PC.
