a music stream player on a site?
« on: November 23, 2005, 10:07:22 am »
right, this is going to be a rather broad question but please bare with me;

How to create a player that just play, stop, and skip to the last/next song?
I already know that SWF's are propably the best way to go (and i know how to mp3->swf) if you dont want to stream from your own computer but the problem is...
I know absolutely sh*t about making flash players :/
Can anything similar be done with javascript? I havent seen a player ever done with php but I dont suppose that would be impossible?
And no, im so NOT going to touch CGI. :P

I _SOMEWHAT_ know how to make an XML playlist but thats it, its just the actual player interface part that leaves me f*cked :(

I know I know not alot of people like flash/shockwave but thats just the best way to stream low quality music without getting sued and without giving people the ability to download the songs :P
