The problem is making bases playable. In OP, at least my version, you can't place bases in a skirmish map. So while I could rig the Base Star to rotate like a Base, I'm afraid it'll get stuck in the Base slot and become unselectable.

UPDATE :

I started work on the Viper Mk VII, it's not perfect but it's getting there. Here's a WIP of where it stands as of now...........
