WIP: ModelsPlease's Claymore: TOS version.
« on: November 17, 2005, 02:35:02 am »
MP passed along two models to me, (one of whch wouldn't open btw MP) and the other was the Claymore.  One single 16x16 grey texture was all I got to start out with, so it's a blank slate.

Well, looking at the deflector gave me the impression this was a TOS version (I'll be kitbashing a TMP and TNG version) so that's what I started on.  At this point, this is roughly 70? percent done.. vast remapping of the saucer needs to be done, and I may massage the saucer a bit in addition to that (and maybe grab another deflector, no offence MP but the one on here is really painful to work with).

But here's where it stands.. :)

..ooOOoo..totally useless information..ooOOoo..

It's starting to work for its keep, yup.  ;)  The main thing here is needing to fix a couple of things on the mesh without really messing it up, and that'll be easier to accomplish with a Schtupp set of impulse engines and deflector here than rebuilding the one on it and texturing in the impulse engines.  :p

WHat wa the second ship that wouldn't open ? I'll check the file. Great work on this ship !!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I repacked the file try this one Alec.........

That got it.  :)

first of all good job on the texturing

second of all that was an incomplete mesh  it was still WIP when MP received it in MOD for for him to take a look at.

I have the completed mesh and map stored elsewhere

would be intresting for a mining class :P

I can hear it now....

"Here we are at the launch of Starfleet's latest in a long-standing line of hard-working auxillary units - the USS Bambam! Featuring the latest in sub-molecular clubbing technology to really smash up that ore, not to mention dino-vision: a technology pioneered by FlintTech Inc to rapidly 'sniff-out' new dilithium deposits."

Atheorhaven has them, along with a few oother ships I did. Sadly no one has heard from him in quite some time  :'(. IIRC AV has the original version of this ship as he is the one that did the mesh.

Getting back into it.. and the Claymore is one of the ships that I'm finishing.  Missing thing at this point is the lower saucer illumination texture, but everything else is done on it now..
