Glitch with Camera Rotation
« on: November 15, 2005, 10:49:42 pm »
Okay my OP is working okay except I cannot get the camera to rotate. It seems I recall this being an issue, does anyone have the fix handy?

Camera rotate?  Never heard of OP doing that.  You have some basic camera options.  You, target, above.  That's about it I think.

System Specs:

Dell Dimension E521
AMD64x2 5000+
2G DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3
250GB SATA HD

The Home and End key are supposed to allow you to rotate the camera around the ship. They do not work for some reason.

Same here, they are listed in the hotkeys but do not work. (I have never tried to use them before however. I have used the PgUp/PgDn keys though, and they do work). Perhaps this got broken or disabled in one of the later patches?

Um, I think you have to be in F2 mode with no target lock for that to work...

Correct, you are. In F2 view it works (camera lock has no effect on it). Thanks CaptJosh!

Um, I think camera lock determines which ship the camera is rotating around, Bonk. If you're locked on a target and camera lock is enabled, the camera moves around the target instead of around your ship.
