Greetings from the farthest reaches of space!
« on: November 15, 2005, 09:07:29 pm »
Don't know how many of you are left that would even remember me.......Hopefully more than a hand full. I have had some life altering experiences, (Kroma if you are reading this.....I am still male, and I still love my wife - not THAT kind of life altering!). This has required my extended absence from gaming in any game on-line. The sad news is I still have very limited time for it, but the good news is I have SOME time. Was wondering if anyone could bring me up to speed on the happenings and what DL's I need to roast your rears again.....

Anyone from the FPF that could assist me with finding my way home would be greatly appreciated. I guess you guys turned off the homing beacon and called off the search after 4-5 months. Can't say I blame you. DH I'm sure you're out there somewhere, and have all the intel I need. Links to all would be good, and you can blame Wanderer for my re-emergence.....  :2gun:

WB, Thrain...I remember you.  ;D
We're using (mostly) OP+4.0 and we had some new missions for the last server, but, the missions and shiplists usually change from server to server, so stick to OP+4.0 untill then.  ;)
It can be in this area of the forums:

Look forward to seeing you on the next one...whenever that is... :-\

Greetings to you as well......you may grow to rue the day you met me though, (at least dislike it a lil' bit, lol).

Hiya Skyflier!

Tried to use the link you provided Krueg, but it fails every time. Am I missing something?

Actually, if you want all the good stuff and have broadband, download this:

http://sfcx.no-ip.com/downloads/mirrors/Pestalence/OP_Enhancement_Package_v3.2.exe

It's an all in one installer for patching the game to 2.5.5.2, changing the directory servers, and all the moste common enhancements to the game. Hopefully Pestalence will get things straightened out with his family quickly and be able to come back and contribute more once more enhancements are made.

One minor note, before installing this, make sure that you've gone and turned off the "read only" attribute on all files and folders for OP, or the DLL patch Pesty came up with won't install.

Or you could just go to the Downloads section on D.Net and get really good download speeds, and have everything you need under one roof.

Or browse the whole Dynaverse.net download library directly here: http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/

In particular, the Directory server patch for D2 access: http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/patches/sfc2_directory_server_updater.exe

Thanks again Wanderer for shaking that last tree to see if this nut was in it.....

Fair warning to all who oppose me - I have accomplished all necessary DL's and have retrofitted my skills. My tuning will commence as soon as I can find a sucker, errr,  I mean an astute opponent of unmeasurable worth...(thier skins are worth more!) ;D, who would be willing to die at my hand.

By the by, where ARE we playing right now?

We really do need *someone*  to put up a "hell" server until
we can get another one up & running.
Or even just a basic Fed-Klink one would be cool

Thank you for the welcome back, all of you!

I am happy to report that all decks report moorings released and clear, all systems are nominal.

The USS Jesse James has cleared spacedock!
