Would anyone run/host  and would there be support for a serious stock-ish server that ran ONLY between theme Campaigns?

Nutters and Casuals would have a place to play, with some personal investment as it is 'serious'.  A standard F+E map, or one that whoever put in the time to put up the server would suffice.

I'm thinking this might reduce the between campaign angst.

That is kind of what The Forge was intended to be, but the map was a total flop. I could reset it on my old "Classic War" (F&E) map soon...? Keeping OP+4 and the Community Scripts...

Ah, but The Forge is intended to but up all the time, (the Xenocorp persistent OP server) not just between theme campaigns so I guess that is a different thing...?

I was thinking a server with enough permanence, goals and relevance that players would retain attachment ( opposite of the unfortunate 'test server reaction syndrome'), indeed enough attachment that when play was suspended for, say SGO XX, then resumed, there would be some continuity, rivalry etc.  but more than the old SFC One? endless loop Dynas.

My ISC Invasion server is designed to be a no-time limit campaign.  Basically, empires falls when their economy goes past critical.  This critical margin for each empire is determined as a set percentage of their starting economy.

 Last empire standing wins.

I gotta make the map again cuz I EAW map does not port to OP.  I also need to put in some tweaks and bug fixes in the EEK mission packs.

Slacker!! ;D

Who ya calling slacker!! :P

I am busy right now in Atlanta, GA trying to get T.O. off the hook with Eagles after he had  a few too many bi-polar bezerkie moments.  He's been vilified for being the most talented football receiver of all time, but had Karnak as his sports agent and publicity advisor.  So, Karnak told him to tell off a few people in Philly. Oh well, what a bunch of weenies!! He already said that the he's sorry and that he will never do it again. That's should be good enough for everybody. They JUST CANNOT HANDLE THE TRUTH!!

Tomorrow, we are gonna go to NFL court in Philly and have this little banning over-turned, and out of this horribly oppressive contract situation.  Talk about indentured servitude, and you can't even slam your team-mates?? What's up with that!!

Anyway, after we get T.O. signed with the Falcons, then we are gonna get right back to slamming everybody in sight.  Vick can't throw, Vick can't hit a barn with a 40ft bulls-eye painted on it.

Oh, we are sorry in advance for saying that, BTW. ;D

:P :P

PS. ex-Panther cheerleader chicks dig the bad guys....and bad frogs too. :D
