Topic: what about a cugs vs dynaverse server??

i think a good idea for a server,plus give an oppratunity to increase player base,would be a server between CUGS,and DYNAVERSE players. What do you guys think??maybe do it on a mirror/mirror concept,so that all races can fly

well cugs would probably be able to muster more guys than we could from what ive seen on past servers, and from playing with them on gsa...they have some EXCELLENT pilots, but im not so sure they remember about being able to be captured on d2 ...lets do this with a gorn, rom, or klingon list to make it interesting. mirak and lyran would make it too tough for some of us...specially those of us who cant fly lyran lol...or we could use isc hmm....now THERES an idea, an isc mirror server for cugs vs dyna ...and if they dont go for it we can use it just for another mirror mirror lol

Why wouldn't the mirror list include ships from all races?


That way no one gets left out because someone else is to incompetent
to fly their ships.

Sure include all races, or screen out isc and hydran and have them fly mid era as all most of them will fly on GSA is 300+ advanced. Take G2 pahsers and  X-isc ships away and they are in trouble. I find it rare to get anything but advanced hydrans and isc from gsa/CUGS players when I play there.

We are so competitive and focused on winning, hehe. Its human nature. Prolly better to focus on integrating them into the dynaverse community than setting them up to get pwnd or organizing a pissing contest. Personally, I wouldnt mind having one cheese server with X2 ships just to get them to get their feet wet over here. To have them grasp the basics of the dyna server, what its all about and introducing ourselves to them and flying with them is a big important step.

Hrmmm. If they really need to play X2 tech, sure. Let em. I can reclass the shiplist for X2 tech in such a way that if they want to use em, they will have to invest a lot of pp into getting them. That means they will all find out what it means to be a nutter...  The longer they spend on the dyna they better. Gotta hook em like a drug. Make it cheap and getting em hooked on the high, then gradually raise the price and the dose till we get em where we want em.

You all don't mind if I throw down a little bit of friendly poison do you? And post the  link to this thread  in the RFA forums, were I know a lot of Cugs players will see it..
             It might fuel up enough emotions to get something like this off the ground...
                              But I must say I think your over confidence might be your down fall..  My experiance of GSA players( now I'm going bac a ways back) Are that there are some excellant players in there.. And from what I have seen in the forums and the past few weeks on SGO5, alot of faces  that I recognise from GSA  ..
                  And yes some rooms play alot of Adv games, but the majority of the players don't even like Adv era.

guys thats untrue...i protest against x ships when im flying with them....they do just as good without x as they do with..........at least some of them.........i know josh from over there can own me x tech or not.........hoggie as well......and a few others, much like dh or diz or frey could own me 1 on 1......quick and easy for them, so dont knock'em they have a lot of flying experience, i just dont know how theyd do on an acual server lol.....before you start knockin dem guyz i want you more experienced excellent pilots to go face them 1 on 1, see what ya think

That's hilarious, Shin. When ever we get on GSA and host a room, since we (XenoCorp) as a Fleet don't play X ships on GSA (except when Kroma insists.....you know how THAT is) we've seen what was once a once in a while thing turn into a almost nightly occurance:

In room on GSA:

FA_Frey_XC: "BPV / Era?"

(Identity hidden to protect individual)450 Adv !!!!! Speed 10 !!!!"

FA_Frey_XC: "Umm no, cmon pick a reasonable BPV / Era."

762: "180 Late! No X ships!"

FA_Frey_XC: "Okay, 180 Late, No X Ships"

(Identity hidden to protect individual) "Huh? What? Dude, SFC EAW is over there, this is OP!"

FA_Frey_XC:"Yes, it is. And we're not playing X ships."

(Identity hidden to protect individual) "OMG, whatever !!!! Okay f@(*$*$ fine! Launch LAUNCH LAUNCH LAUNCH"

Game launches, fool gets owned, and then of course disconnects from the game while it's still going on with a cry of "BS" and "You guys SUCK !!!"

We finish the game (if we can because dat fool disconnected, and we ALL KNOW what can happen when peeps do that), come back to the room and there is fool yelling about "Real ships, get a life this is OP not EAW".

Hence da BOOT at that point usually.

The GSA / CUGS players I've played - in my experience - can't play Late / Mid / Early Era. I've consistantly beaten them in said matches, Sir Josh included.
