U.S.S. Nebuchadnezzar NCC-2069
Matrix-class Federation Battleship

-------------
This is a representation of an experimental upgrade model of Federation Ulysses-class Dreadnought in the same time as the Constitution Refit.
Only one ship was built and tested, and though a production model of this ship was never realized, many lessons were learned that would appear on future designs.
The Matrix-class, U.S.S. Nebuchadnezzar entered service in 2271 and went on to serve proudly for many years before being phased out in favor of newer ships of the line.

This started out as a WIP I was working on to show Buzz an idea I had, but once I got started well.........here she is  ;). Funny thing is this ship has nothing to do with that idea, now I gotta go make another pic for Buzz :P.

Enjoy !!!!!

Rats. I wanted to say this before it was released...

this is an awesome model MP, but there's only one thing I can see wrong with it: The secondary hull. Why oh why did you take the low-poly one from stock SFC1?

Couldn't you just re-scale the one done by WZ?

It's an SFC2 model by Moonraker, and I wasn't actually building it persay, I was originally making a pic to show Buzz lol. If everyone really likes it, I will ask WZ for permission to use his model and bash a higher quality version.

Looks kinda cool if a bit on the 'uber' side, but then so is the Yamato or any battleship. I would suggest, indeed plead with you to add some support for those 'outer' nacelles, i.e. add a pair of pylons connecting them to the secondary hull, at the moment it just looks really silly having them dangle out like that, kinda like the D7 neck, it looks too fragile for a battleship. Keep the ones coming down from the torpedo pod like you have now, but add another pair going from the secondary hull directly to the nacelles.

Also is it just me or would a battleship not benefit more from having more forward torpedos than rear, at the moment it's 4 rear 2 fore, when most of the time you should want to be firing from the forward arc rather than the rear. Maybe add another pair facing forward, or would that be overkill? Not necessarily for a BB in this setting.

I like the ditching of the neck section, makes far more sense for such a valuable warship not to have such a vulnerable area as the Ulysses' split neck, but as I said the lack of support for the outer nacelles throw off the sense of it being built to last.

P.S. about the name and class: :puke: at the Matrix reference. But that's just MO on the films, specially the 2 sequels *shudders*.
If I determine the enemy's disposition of forces while I have no perceptible form, I can concentrate my forces while the enemy is fragmented. The pinnacle of military deployment approaches the formless: if it is formless, then the deepest spy cannot discern it, nor the wise make plans against it.

Nah, leave the lower nacelles how they are, its more graceful that way, methinks.

1) I'm gonna keep it as is I like the way I did the nacelles, and they make the ship look sweet and sleek.
2) As for the torpedoes , if you think that the torps fire just from the pods it would appear there are more rear facing ones, but I went under the assumption that the forward torps will also fire from the underside of the saucer ala TOS  ;).
3) As for the name, well I can't retexture right now and the name was on the ship so it kinda fell into place.  :D
