Frey has stated that MCI has had connectivity issues throughout the weekend and that was the primary cause for all server related problems. The DB has been backed up and I'm planning on going back to the one yesterday evening when just about everyone quit playing it. We will pick up there.
VC's for round one: The server started to choke an hour or two b4 VC's were to be recorded. And hour before hand, most players deserted the server. All sides had quite a ways to go in order to fulfill their VC objectives in order to score points. So instead of speculating how much theoretical progress each empire would have made in an hour, I wont and VC's for round one are closed.
The Alliance fell short of the 1.5 times as many pvp points in order to score a half VC (which would have been from the ISC) and without any other vc's under their control to pair it withthey are awarded zero.
The Coalition did not own any VC's but were one hex away from one when just about everyone left the server. So they also score zero.
Bottom line for who is winning SGO5, well, if anyone has kept up with the map, its pretty damned even. WWI style all the way. Not even the Wild Geese have been called on... Close war indeed.
