Hey Mr. T please take a look at this pic..............

http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/images/federation/frigate_cerebus.jpg

I think if you incorporate the rear saucer area, and nacelle placement like in this pic, the design becomes even more interesting.

That's a pretty cool-looking design, but I think I'll keep this ship the way it is.  I'm in the middle of a big 3D graphics project for my class and don't really have much time for major mesh changes.  I might try making that ship from scratch sometime in the future, though.

Here's what she looks like with her name and number proudly displayed on the top of the saucer.  I haven't worked on the bottom yet, but that should be coming soon.

From here it looks like the I and L are merged together.

That's a problem with the font.  There's not much I can do about it.

This ship is just about finished.  I just want to know if anyone has any last-minute suggestions before I convert this.  Unfortunately, I can't get 3ds max 4 to work (I'm using 3ds max 7) so I'm going to try using Milkshape 3D.

Torpedo launcher looks off-center.

One suggestion I have... I thought you were thinking about using the "TOS" Style regestry system for the underside of the hull?  You know, remember when I suggested using the upside down and rightside up regestry system like many TOS ships have?  This would get around the problem of the torpedo lauchher causing a shadow as the Regestry would be on the left and right sides.

I tried that and it just didn't look right.  Not having a foward-shining light on the bottom of the saucer just looked wrong.  Instead, I decided to move the light source to just above the torpedo launcher and move up the registry number.  I think this looks a lot better than the TOS style registry number placement.

I recently got 3ds max 5 working on my computer, so I can have this ship ready for in-game use soon.

I just need to finish with the hardpoints, damage points, and break model and she'll be done.
