Ok, update is that he is awake and read the comments from the people at BCU, then told everyone to "behave". In otherwords, he woke up still Raven, which is a good sign thus far.

I've seen cases--even those of family--that never looked good, and in most cases they usually recovered from a bad condition.  I hope Raven Night is one of those cases that do recover from such a bad condition.

After reading recent news, I'm glad I'm right in the fact that it is possible to recover from a bad condition, and that Raven's going to be alright after recovering.

At age 52, my uncle had a severe stroke.  Doctors didn't expect him to even survive.  Within about 8 months, you couldn't even tell he ever had a stroke.  Not even a limp.  It just goes to show that with support from friends and family,  a stong will and determination,  and little good will from the Divine anything is possible.

I know that Raven will get the support he needs.  I know he posesses the will and determination.  And the Divine good will seems to be there.  I'm confident that Raven will make a strong recovery and I'm REALLY happy to hear that he is doing well.

Man, a lot happens when you are away a while.

I'm glad Raven's doing better. I wish him the best.

I can relate to the family.  About 5 years ago my then newlywed wife had a stroke that took half of her vision.  (right half of both eyes) There was a second stroke that made it almost impossible to solve problems.  6 months later she was diagnosed with cancer and I lost her about 3 years ago.  The thing is she couldn't read after her stroke, so at least Raven is doing much better.  Also her doc was a quack.  If you get immediate help it is possible to prevent or alleviate much of the damage.  My wife went 2 1/2 days before going in the hospital. Again, no thanks to the dumb doc she was going to.

I do wish you well Raven.

I had an uncle who was treated for ages for ulsers that turned out to be stomache cancer. This was back in the late 80's and it didn't help that he was fat either. They have better scanners now ofcourse but still if the mistake hadn't been amde he might be alive today.

CVAs are pretty unpredictable, it's hard to tell how extensive any damage will be, or how much of a recovery there'll be afterwards.  I've seen both ends of the spectrum, and it sounds like Raven's been pretty fortunate.  Now all he has to do is work on reducing the risk factors and reduce the risk of future attacks.

This is sad news indeed... I am glad he's well enough to read the BCU comments. Hope he does even better.
