Just a thank you

Bonk & Dizzy,

Thank you for using the SQL kit.  I hope Bonk was able to gleen some good info to improve it.

I, for one, will continue to play even if it is on a flat file for the rest of the server.

Word! I hope working SQL becomes a reality. It was well worth the test IMHO.

Thank you both!

Thanks for taking it well guys.

We did learn a few important things about the kit this time around, Tracey and I have some stuff to work on now that might a significant difference for the next time we try it.

We really do need to test the SQL kit on a stock setup under load though, trick is getting people to show up and stick around long enough to make it a useful test. I'm thinking prizes of some kind might help. So down the road aways keep an eye out for this.

would having a test server run for say 1 or 2 weeks maybe help? perhaps any problems would show up after X amount of time?  Perhaps put it up  as not only a test server, but a "live" server, with hopes of correcting problems??

I thoght one of the roles of bonk's Forge was that it was a testbed, at least as far as SQL goes. It seems to be doing pretty stable. Why hasn't it gotten any corruptions? As many missions as have been run on it, I'd think some of what showed up on SGO5SQL would have shown up on Forge by now. Should some of you people with proper training take a look at what went wrong on SGO5SQL as oppossed to Forge?
