The server stopped about 20 mins ago. And I rebooted it. It just quit again. There isnt a player load atm... mb 14 players or less and that shouldnt be the cause.

We know now the database is collecting errors... this could be the problem...

Hmm... does not look good.... too bad we did not have another week of testing... I'm close to calling it.

I wonder what is happening now that did no happen during testing. We did not see this during testing.

What are people doing differently?

A test server should be run exactly as the live server is to be run or it is not a valid test.

Everone who intends to play on the live server should participate in the test.

We did only test the final shiplist for about 6 hours before launch...

Negative.

I can say with almost 90% certainty that people ALT-F4'ing out of missions are causing a runtime error in the serverplatform. Maybe not all of them, but I believe this does cause the serverkit to crash. I reproduced it twice last night. Might be prudent to conduct a small, quick test.

Tracey - Bonk, please see the Serverkit Dev thread for more details.

Regards,

It is unfortunate that once in a while a mission hangs, and the only way out of it is to Alt/F4.
