Here is your USS Raven (Sydney Class) Science Vessel for SFC3.  You can find it at Conversion Versions.     Sorry it took me so long.  I had to take a break after I nearly assimilated the UPS guy for mishandling my mail.  You must comply!  Oops there I go again...

Here is a direct link.

I thought the only canon sydney was the janolin, which crashed on the dyson sphere....I think the raven is a totaly different class.

edit- oh and where are the lightmaps? From the renders it looks great.

hehe- I modeled it so all the parts that are lit up are seperate pieces, so the lights are mapped to a seperate bitmap. Hence no I-maps are needed. The map with the lights has specular and diffuse maxed. while the rest of the ship has it minimized.  I think you will see that the front window looks fairly illuminated. I do not have SFC3 so I don't know about the glows.

Yea the Raven is not a Sydney class. Some sites however put it as a Sydney class because they feel they need to classify it somehow. Some call it a Raven class but the real truth is its class was never given so is speculative or conjectural. God I love that word

well, I doubt I can port this to bc with the lighting like that and no lightmaps. It would probably come out with all the lit peices on permenent overload.

Dark Matrix does  tons of BC conversions. He would know a work around if one is required.   I also know he is mega busy . I could always add I-maps for the sake of added them, but they wouldn't add anything in SFC anyway.  I dont have BC either so not familar with what that game uses or requires.  Actually I would be interested in learning how to convert ships to BC. I  kinda like the look of that game. Doesn't BC use glows similar the SFC. If so glows are actually independent of the mod file and I-maps are not required for them to work.

I am not sure that anything would be overloaded as when you use I- maps you crank specular and diffuse as well

On another topic. If someone is playing this in SFC3 could you post a couple of screen shots. I'd like to see what it looks like in that game.

I just used the information that came with the model.  If anyone can give me definite proof of which class it is I will change all the necessary info.

Vichama its cool as is man.  The Sydney would be the closest class IMO.  Interestingly enough. It made 2 appearances in 2 seperate episodes.  In the second episode it suddenly became the USS Raven instead of the SS raven, with no explanation.

Typical ST stuff.   Hey you would you mind posting a screenie of it in SFC3. I'd like to see it in that game. Do'nt have it yet.

well, I might be able to convert it then, not sure. I can try. But BC uses tga, so the I maps from sfc are put in the tga as alpha channel. Most sfc2 I can convert in about 10 minutes. Never tried 3.
