Question for the pet owners...

One of my Bosties is getting pretty old, and her teeth are starting to go. Does anyone Have any advice on Doggie Dental care? Gruntie has always been one of my Favorite dogs, as she Is the most willing to Obey most commands, But seeing her teeth go bad is just tearing me up. I could of course do a google search, But I trust the opinions of the Pet owners here more so then a random site.

2 things i can think of off the top of me head. 

1.  Brush the dogs teeth (sounds like fun don't it ;))
2.  Stop by a pet store and grab some bones, they help clean the  teeth

thats about all i can think of w/ my limited exp
