Here is the story. I reloaded xp back on to my desktop syst and my server will not see my desktop.

although my desktop syst see my server. I will post the results of the test later on tonight.

Bonk, Stephen. anyone want to take a crack at this?

Server is running windows 2K server

desktop running Windows XP Pro /SP2

ok, forget the whole thing my server is screwed up and i will need to reinstall it.

Before you re-install,

1. Disable XP Firewall on the workstation, and...

2. Remember that XP will not allow access by a user ID that has a blank password.

Duh,

I completely forgot about my desktop's firewall.

Will check that on Thursday. +1 to barabbas

News:
