It certainly is, but some of us(dont know if it is all of us) will freeze the system up when alt-tabbing in a campaign, unless you are in a screen such as the shiplists, looking at ships.  This I should have pointed out in my last post. my bad.

Some of us just push the button on the KVM switch and use a 2nd computer already logged onto the Shipyard webmap.

Careful with those KVM switches, they tend to fry monitors.

I had a buddy suggesting one of those, you got a link on the facts handy?

I've been using a pair of D-Link KVMs for several years.  No problems at all.

Nah, I have no links about it Risky, but I think its all in the quality of the switch, which is probably why Nemesis has no problems with his D-Links, its a good name. Just don't go with a cheapy no-name switch - monitors are too expensive to risk.  (Both my father and I had the same experience independently frying monitors with cheapy switches.)

I try to stick to quality for all the components.  Why risk your whole system by cutting corners?

One thing that I do that most don't is use a UPS with brownout protection as well as surge protection with ALL system components protected.

the best KVM switches, IMO, are the digital ones, as they control possible surges from switching between computers on your display. (At least that's been my impression based on how they appear to work.
