Webmap Feedback Thread
« on: September 22, 2005, 11:02:35 pm »
I believe that the text when trying to veiw a ships specifications or when buying a ship (where it says sucessful or not) should be changed as it appears to eb the exact same color as the background. currently you have to highlight all text in those two circumstances (or just select all, i havent tried for anything else yet) in order to see what you wanted to see.

I don't know why, but for some reason, when using the shipyard on there, I can log in and view the ships avalible, but if I try to by one, it says "Please login..." and when I log in, I haven't purchased it.

Thanks fo the reports I'll fix it soon, still  working on something else.

It worked perfectly before, I modified it for forums integration, but that precluded multiple account usage, in the return edits something got lost... I'll get to it...

I'll put the old one back up in the meantime...

Just bought a G-BDL+ off the shiplist with it.

Recall it will still take 5.4 minutes (one turn) for the ship to come in. (it is not an instant purchase)

works great, though i was wondering why when you purchase a ship it does not show my current bid for it in the shp yard on the server? also the pp is not subtracted for me until the ship actually comes in...any one else experiencing this or just me? because it can get confusing as to whether the bit was sucessful or not...THANKS!

Sounds like you are using it while still logged in on the server. If so, try just hitting "Done" in supply to refresh your game client.

was unable to change the Webmap name of my ship.  Logged off, then back on, could not change it still.  for informative purposes, I bought the ship while still on Dyna, dont know if that had something to do with it or not.

You pressing "Done" in supply to change the name? Or just hitting enter?  (you must press "Done")

Tried that also, would not change it.  I will try again next time on server.

We're back to the new version of the webmap... sorted out the issue - it was a sessions thing related to switching to the forums login, then switching back to the way I handled it before... re: multiple accounts. Good for more feedback - except the kills pages - I'll get back to work on those tomorrow.
