i made some new Tholian models of the SFB TOS shipclasses PC,CL,CA,BCH and DN in some more original TOS colored textures and in an KA escort style hull design
is there a need for them here ??

Hardly any ? There are TOS TMP and TNG Tholian packs at OutaLance courtesy of Brezgonne. SFB style and KA Tholians at Battlerclinic. How many more do ya need lol ?

I Love tholian designs... simple on the eye but very pleasing.. Id like to see the Ent Tholian ship... very cool.. As for yours very cool too.

Very nice. That is one thing I'm concerned with. Someday, I want to get to making SFB Tholian ships, but I don't know how to make there hull textures. I mean, if Tholians are Crystal type lifeforms that require very hot environments to survive, would there ships be made out of Metal (Duranium, Tritanium??) or some other type of substance? This wouldn't be a factor in the game, but I'm just wondering how there hulls would look like from the outside when trying to build a model for the game.

I think Klingon Academy suggested Tholians use a unique crystalline alloy (or something like that) which is unusually-strong and rivals Gorn hulls, and out of the six races in KA Tholian and Gorn hull were the strongest.

Since childhood (before KA), that was my impression (aside from the Gorn hull). I thought their ships would be more boring if it was metallic hull like in Enterprise or fan films like Hidden Frontier or the general fandom like in SFB, even though I don't mind the simple bronze hull (I.E. SFB Nexus or Brez's Tholian models) or grey hull (Terradyhne's Tholian pictured), I still have the impression their hull is crystalline. Mainly for the fun factor; Making their hulls as metallic as Starfleet or Klingon or Romulan vessels' hulls in my opinion serve as making them boring.

Terradyhne's model here looks real good and I like it the way it is, but it looks like how fandom mainly portrayed the hulls; as metallic. Maybe I'm just in conflict about it... Still, that doesn't mean Terradyhne's model is bad because it's grey. I still like it.

on the first pics the crystaline basestructure is not much vissible so i made a pic of the HWC in the modview tool and i made a new colored lightmap so it looks like it glows a bit red from the hot environment inside, hope you guys like the new look
