You bet I'm gonna see it.   This show, much more then Enterprise, really needed kept on the air.

I voted for C, but I don't think it was a fair question.  Your question seems to imply some failing on my part.  In actuallity I think the human women want me, they are just afraid of my size.

I'd consider it a bug, Scippy seems to believe it's a valid tactic (and I wonder how many Gornn will support him)
though..

I love that bit...

I enjoyed the TV show thoroughly, but voted no to the poll as I swore I would never go to a public movie theater again, I concluded it is all about hiding in the dark and eating junk food where no one can see you... I was thoroughly grossed out last time I went to a movie theater, that was about seven years ago. I will not brush shoulders with the rabble in the movie theaters ever again, I'm not interested in listening to other people eat.

When the DVD comes out, I will definitely check it out. Looking forward to it.

I'm not actually surprised at the turnout..

Although I will be severely dissapointed in anyone who doesn't go and see it..

Bingo, I will get the DVD.

Can't stand mass movie theaters...   There used to be a small one I would see stuff at in The People's Republic of Chapel Hill (NC) that only sat about 20 people per showing.

But they never had the really good stuff and haven't found one around here yet...

Actually generally I hit them in the early afternoon if the multiplex is open.
Monday afternoon/Tuesdays are usually pretty good, there's like 6-7 people tops in the whole theatre.

.. Assuming this is a valid question..

Serenity is the Film "sequel" to a short lived show called Firefly done by Joss Whedon (the Buffy Guy)
It was cancelled after @ 11(ish) episodes by Fox in one of the odder cancellations recently. They essentially
gave it a bad timeslot, advertised it as done "by the Buffy guy" and aired the episodes out of order which completely screwed
up the storyline.
Fox finally let Whedon get the series set up on DVD (I'm not actually sure if Fox even retained any rights to it) where sales went through the roof
Universal agreed to do a big screen feature of it to help wrap up some of the loose ends in the story. There is actually rumours/talk that they've optioned the rights
for sequels, but I (unfortunately) doubt they'll happen.

Essentially it's a story of a space ship & crew, the stories are (imho) Far superior to any Star Trek season- and that was in it's first year.
It is actually a story where the crew does have problems and there is some conflict amongts the crew.
-And real conflict and storylines- Not something stupid like Voyageur's or DS9's alleged " conflicts between crew members"

I honestly can't say enough about hte show-  I'm one who paid no attention to it when it aired and only picked up the DVD set- and it's
probably my favourite Sci Fi series ever - I'n a way I'm actually kinda happy it got cancelled- the first season seemed to hit a stride of
acting/ storytelling and continuity that arguably Star Trek never reached, and certainly not in it's first seasons.

Never heard of Serenity or Firefly?  That's a shame.  I think it was on for one or two seasons on Fox.  Sort of the Old West in space.  Think of the captain as Han Solo without the smarminess.  It's was a good character-based show with some nice science fiction settings.  It is currently airing on the Sci-Fi Channel at 7 pm Eastern/ 4pm Pacific on Fridays.

:(

Yeah, well ,you play EVE..
not really expecting alot...  :P

Anyways- I can not recommend this series enough to anyone who
watches general Sci Fi- The only people I know who have watched it and not liked it
are both set in their ways, one completely believes that anything bearing the name
Star trek is inherently better than any other TV show ever made, and yes, the other believes
the original Star Wars trilogy (well the first two technically) to be the epitome of storytelling .

It does have the humour of the Buffy series though- so if you saw a few and decided you
hated the humor you might not like it.
