Yup Hell has frozen over it's true I have learned to bash  :o !!!! My thanks to Antivyrus who made it all possible. SO here's my first ship........

U.S.S. LEXINGTON

In 2285 it became evident to the Federation, the need for a dedicated command cruiser. While most Constitution-class

you might want to browse around here http://www.shipschematics.net/ for some easy designs to bash (you propably already knew the site but still) to hone your sk1llz ;)

Very nice variant, not bad for a first bash, though I agree with the sentiments about the bloated nacelles, the pylons look too flimsy compared to the great bulk of the nacelles.

sorry MP i think those SY71/1-5BH nacelles won't fit the Constitution class well

original nacelles dimensions:
Length:154,81 m
Width:12,63 m
Height:18,32 m

SY71/1-5BH nacelles dimensions:
Length:177,51 m
Width:26,84 m
Height:17,66 m

and thats one thing i don't like on the most Kitbashes some of the parts are stupidly sized to fit other parts that they never really do
but this bash is a good idea only the nacelles are a bit wrong in there dimensions  ;D

Interesting design MP. A good blend of TMP aspects and late TMP nacelle design. I think the nacelles do look a bit chunky, but still. It all adds to the feel and makes the design unique in its own right.  :gg:

In that case, you should probably replace the saucer with an Excelsior saucer.

About the nacelles:  Notice that, on the schematics, the nacelles are about the same height as the saucer and that the bottom of the nacelles are lined up with the center of the saucer.

With the description of the nacelle placement Mr_Tricorder stated, that means the pylons will have to become shorter in appearance.  I don't mean actually making the pylons shorter, but you'll have to lower the nacelles down more onto the pylons.
