SFC2 experiment
« on: September 12, 2005, 06:25:02 pm »
I've been thinking about all the options SFC2 gives you, and I've come up with an interesting manuver that I'd like to try out involving Tractor beams and tethering two ships togeather. The theory is that if two ships are fighting a largly superior force (say, a dreadnought), and they both are damaged, the two ships can lash onto each other to work as one. One ship would use the follow command, and both ships would maintain the same speed (say 18 or 20).

At the moment I'm logged into gamespy, and I'm waiting for three others to show up so I can try this. what I need is as follows:

A dreadnought (low to mid BPV)

Two light cruisers (prefer one Fed and one Klingon, as both can make scatterpacks)

And a fourth ship loaded with repair parts in case something goes ape.

It's 6:25 PM central, I'll be logged on until 7:30 at least, unless something unforseen occurs. Anyone wanna help?

::ALCHEMIC EDIT::
I only have EAW 2036, so I'm in the SFC2 room.  But if this works it should work for all three games, right?
