unless you're going for the cartoonish look, you might want to deaden the red and that green marker light a bit. Otherwise a fine little ship.

Actually I was using this ship as an experiment with lightmapping (still got some leaning to do) though I do feel the rear engine glow turned out rather well

Agreed. The engine looks great but ya should tone the hull colors down about to give it a more realistic look and less cartoonish. Unless that's what you're going for  ;D then you're spot on :D

Wouldn't Desaturation just make the red look pinkish against that light gray background? I'd opt for a darker shade of red, just a bit closer to the black side of the spectrum. Then, dirty it up a bit; like it's seen the hard work and heavy combat these fighters were renowned for. :D
