BattleFest+ for SFC:OP

.. I made a 'better' BattleFest script. Anyone wants to try it out?
It's era-complient and will tend to pick better ships than the standard battlefest.

Ohh.. yes.. and I improved the selection this way:

Code:

normally:
  Frigate
  Destroyer
  Light Cruiser
  Heavy Cruiser
  Heavy BattleCruiser
  Dreadnought

BattleFest+:
  Frigate
  Destroyer or War Destroyer
  Light Cruiser
  Heavy Cruiser or New Heavy Cruiser
  Heavy BattleCruiser
  DreadNought or BattleShip


Anyone wants to try it out?  (For OP only. There's no "mGetEra" in SFC:EAW)

Um its giving me x ships in mid era apart from that it works fine

I need to know what OP version you have, which shiplist if modded, and what race you played.
It should NOT just give X-ships in mid era unless there's something very wrong with the shiplist.


.. there's QUADRUPLE ship selection schemes at play. QUINTUPLE when selecting the dreadnought.

One note: are you setting the era or does it just say Middle when you start the creation?
If it already says Middle, don't trust it! Click and shift-click to make it go back to middle.

Played this on 2525 but got the same ships everytime.  Not random.  Is this supposed to be played with your new shiplist?  I tried it in single player (multiplayer not online).  Played Gorn only.   All but one of the Gorn ships were top of the line but that 5th one was a stinker.   (actually I think it was the third ship up).  I'll try it again and report back.

Well it appears to be random somewhat.  Did get a CLC over a NEC on two tries.  Set it on early and got a bunch of X ships though.  No other issues that I can tell.

UK pacth from box to 2525 stock shiplist no mods played as fed and gorn hope this helps

That's actually not bad.
If it can't pick a ship of a given size of a certain era, it will pick a ship of same size of previous era.
.. if THAT doesn't work. It will pick a ship of the PREVIOUS size of the current era.
.. if that STILL doesn't work.. just pick any ship of that size.

That's actually not bad.
