New patch for Pirates
« on: September 08, 2005, 11:14:01 am »
I know some of you still own the game, as I do. They have a new team working with them and have made a new patch that was released a few weeks earlier. I did not catch it as Pirates was on the back burner at the time. I've played with the new patch and I must say they are one truly dedicated team.

Game of the year? I think it will take it, no competition IMO...

Pretty incredible, since it is such an old (though retooled) game.  I played the original close to a decade ago.  It just goes to prove that a good game is timeless, and that it is playability --not flash -- that make the classics classic.

Roger that Scip, I played it in the 90's, first the original, then Pirate's gold in super VGA. I never got tired of it as every game is literally a different storyline. Now if they would only make a dyna version, that would be way too cool since ST is in limbo somewhere in corporate space.
