Most of the bashes I've been asked to do I can't right now.  Don't have the skills yet, and with school just starting up this past Wednesday, I don't have the luxury to learn those skills right now.

One thing.. you could throw VMWare on the system and do up a Windows 98 based Virtual Machine on the system.  That'll let you still run ModViewer and play test, but still have the stability of Linux.  ;)

I took my nephew to a local video game store the other day. While we were in there a group of teenagers came in. One of them was handing out business cards about his web designs. To this I informed him of what I do for fun, (namely this LOL) with a shock this young guy started to trip out. He knew who I was, he knew the names of the OutaLance team that's on the site. He called his buddies over and I became an immediate celebrity. These kids knew our names, they had favorite ships they had D/L'ed. My nephew was in awe, I was blown away as it was the first time in R/L that I had come across anyone who knew about us. Well they kids left me and the store with a big azz  smile on my face and some major pride going. I went to the counter with my purchase, the gentleman behind the counter shook my hand, turns out he was a die hard trekkie and SFC player and he too knew of us and used our stuff in game. I just had to laugh it was all too much. He gave me a sweet discount on my purchase  ;D. So from these guys to all of us was a hearty thank you and what's up next ? I told them to keep an eye out 'cause ya never know what we'll have for 'em.

Rock on everyone !!!

As a matter of fact the gentleman behind the counter ,who's name was Gus, is a Connie nut and was happy to see that you tried to keep it alive. To which I replied "On life support but none-the less- still tickin' LOL"

What do you mean on life-support?  Granted, my Mark 6 ships aren't any match for other 25th Century ships going from heavy cruisers on up, but they are alive and kicking.  :-D  And if you compare the Resurrection with 24th Century ships, well......bye-bye Galaxy-class.  MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

I'm not talking UBER designs. Size wise the Connie is no bigger than a Springfield-class frigate.Any connie still in operation at this time would have to considered a Frigate. Though ya know I like your designs, I would envision  ( based on screenie evidence Wolf 359) any connie in the TNG era would look as they did during the TMP era, just with uprated weapons. My examplpe of this logic...the U.S.S. Lakota. Same excelsior design, just a weapon upgrade. But it's your imagination bro and more power to ya  ;)

Never thought about the size factor.  Come to think of it, in the early 25th century, she would be around a frigate by now.  But more likely a destroyer in my opinion.  And I agree with you about the Connies in TNG at least at Wolf 359 being the same outside as they did in TMP, but with more advanced systems, and most likely they would remain cosmetically unchanged througout TNG.  But in TNG era, they would have been taken from a Heavy Cruiser down to a Light Cruiser.  Oh well, I'm getting way too far off track here.

If you run into those guys again, the big fans of this place, show them the Anubis.  I am curious to hear what they think.  :-D

Yeah I guess the connie would be a frigate by late TNG. Well they have the links to the sites so I'm sure they'll see her as soon as ya release it. And IMHO there would be nothing wrong with a wolf-pack of TNG Connie frigates causing kaos  ;D Ever consider trying one with Ablative armour? And speaking of Connie have ya finished the bashes with Regs yet ?

In late TNG, as in during the time of the Enterprise E, the Connies would have been light cruisers.  In the early 25th century, they would either be frigates or destroyers.
