second one visible makes more sense however it don't agree to well to shield stuff me would think

In a game as relentlessly, unapologetically, and (to me, anyway) annoyingly two-dimensional as the SFC series, I think the original way makes as much sense as anything...

Although I like the second image, and for me it kinda makes things easier to see, I would have to agree with TUS, it would make refits very unusual.  But then again, one would have to try it first I suppose.
