Your design bears a striking resemblence to as ship already in game..........

I admit, I love the Soulwolf.  But I only have SFC2, and I prefer Light Cruisers, so the Soulwolf is far too large.  And I admit that the "split neck" midsection was inspired by the Soulwolf.  The engine "wings" were inspired by the Windrunner, another of my absolute favorite models.  Since both are much too big to use for a Light Cruiser, I decided to make my own ship, and combine my favorite elements from both.  The result being the...whatever-class posted above.  Or the "Uber-Nova", as I've taken to calling it.

...ok I'm a n00b.

Eh, don't sweat it.  I've been flying for a couple years, and only been doing simple bashing of models for a year now, and I'm still a noob.

the windrunner is only like 200m long (or so) acording to atolm. Someone scaled it wrong. It is a CL.

No, the Windrunner models way too big to be an effective CL, at least in SFC2.  Here's the Dist numbers I get in the model viewer.

Windrunner: 59.00276

Stock CL: 21.734486

The Windrunner's over twice as big.  Way outside of my comfort zone.

::ALCHEMIC AFTERTHOUGHT::  Hmm...how about I call the Uber-Nova "Soulrunner-Class"...nah.

This is sad.  This is my dream ship, and I have no idea what to call it.

I wanted to have a fleet of three of these as various light cruisers (Mine a Light command, a Drone, and a Commando), and since I had initially considered naming the ship "Rhinemaiden-Class", the three ships would be called Woglinde (my ship), Wellgunde, and Flosshilde.  After the three Rhinemaidens from the Das Reingold.

The problem with this is that if the class is called "Rhinemaiden", there sould be four ships...dammit.

I'm seeing lotsa great names here, thanks everyone for all the help.  I'm trying to focus on either Mythological objects, characters, or stories, like "Illiad" or "Avalon" Class.  As well.

so many names o.0

I think osiris fits the vessel. Might want to scan a starchart, find some interesting ancient arabic staaarnames that might sound cool as a shipname.

I think so to.  From now on, she's Osiris-Class.

I already have the first couple names (for my fleet at least)

USS Myrddin
USS Nefertiti
USS Enkidu

And of course:

USS Revere NCC-509-C
