Topic: sfc1/win98 problem

i try to intsall sfc1 on a com with win98 but i get the same problem that when i try to install it on win xp, any idea of why??

Strange, I have never had a problem with SFC1 on Win 98... check your video drivers, sometimes they cause things to go haywire.

well it might be it, i try to install a new driver but there something abouth the chipet (someting like that) that is not found, its a tnt nvidia something, 32 meg of ram, i will get it check this week, beside its not working, i might have overload the hd.

One thing that occurred to me is what version of directx are you using?  I would think it possible that your version is too new for such an old game.  But a good game of course.

1- the main hd is having problem.

2- the video card also have a problem

3- the 2th hd is ok, so anyway i have a new 40 gig on it and a 20 gig.

4- a new video card will be place on it

this com is for a back up only, when the main one need something so i have a com to play games.

plus i was able to get a cpu for my old mother board, early this year or late last year the mother board was defective and was send to the manufacture to be fix, but i needed a mother board so all the stuff was transfer on the new one, so now i need to find a tower that i like, i hate the beige, grey and black tower and tower with door to the cd rom/dvd, i found one that i like on a magazine at a good price but the page is in gernamy only so i don't know much about it beside a few word that i understand, her the link: www.chenbro.com  the tower is a chenbro xpider II, i found that in a good magazine about pc, "pc gamer", i will see tomorow if sfc1 will work on it or not, because of win xp i can't put it on this com, i know abotu the patch and i will try if it work.

ok sfc1 is working now, the fix what ever it was, now i will try to look where i put shipedit for sfc1 and place the mod so i will have good mod for the game.
