There was an unplanned server shutdown. I'm guessing a power outage of some kind. Sorry I didn't get to it till this morning, but I was taking a little time-out from the PC. Database cleaned, server back up.

Very interesting... I was just going over the recent battles log on the webmap and noticed that solo missions that end in defeat are no longer dropping the DV of a neutral hex. Not quite sure how I achieved this, but I'd sure like to know... I wonder if its a side effect of the PvP DV shift code...(it shouldn't be) Very interesting indeed...  :skeptic:

Another "interesting" thing..
The Mirv variants in the Klingon shiplist still don't do correct drone damage.
They seem to do anywhere from normal damage to none at all.
I did test this with all the Mirv variants, they all do it.
Non-Mirv variants of the same ships work fine... :-\
Not a huge deal, but irritating.

Hmmm, that'd be an OP+ shiplist thing i think. You are aware that the dogfight drones that a multiwarhead drone launches are only 2 points of damage each, right? Or do you mean all the drone racks are affected by this? -Important question- Are these webyards ships or in-game ships? Hae you compared the two? (might be a webyards issue?)

Drones will often cause no damage at all in badly lagged missions... is that what you are seeing? It is also possible that mirvs will only work for the Mirak properly kinda like the hardcoded PF thing... I wonder if mirv "donation" might be necessary?

This has occurred on other servers also, it's not something new.
And, yes, I know the IS drones only do 2 each...
Actually, the Mirv's do the correct damage, the OTHER drones, don't.
Didn't test other races' Mirvs, but in the past, it has only been an issue with the Klingon versions.
It's especially easy to see this during Planet Assaults where you can watch the damage exactly per drone, that's where I noticed it on The Forge.
And I doubt very much it was lag, my connection's all good, good comp. and I was in mission(s) alone.  ;D
On previous servers when this was pointed out, the reply was simply "well, don't use them"... ::)
If it's in the shiplist, does that mean FireSoul has to make the corrections needed?

Very interesting indeed, (and weird) I'm not sure if its the fault of the shiplist I'd have to take a close look, (I did find a few errors in OP+4 recently though while comparing the stock OP+4 and UAW shiplsts to QA the UAW list - I should take another look). If done properly it might just be a case of mirvs only work properly for the Mirak and I doubt Firesoul would want to implement a donation scheme in his shiplist so would probably just remove them. (that is if we ever see him again, he's been pretty sparse lately.)

KCW light drones did the same thing for me...
Edit:  on several planet types and as DFly points out below when launched from racks and not scatters.

In several instances, some with Risky, some with others in my fleet during KCW, regular and heavy drones in B racks and A racks did not hit planets when fired from their launchers.  They would however hit the planet when launched from a ScatterPack.  This did make hurting planets that fired on us a tad more difficult to damage enough to get close with a small or damaged ship.

i was curious as to whether not not the drones were softlanding on the planet. maybe hitting the model and not hitting for damage. like how you can hit a friendly planet when a drone curves into it?

Is this only when mirv racks are on the ship? (And which race slot was your House in on KCW?)

Yeah, this happened on KCW...to us as well.
It's been around a while...
Yeah, I did forget, SP do normal damage.
The "damage bug" seems to be confined to the non-mirv racks on a mirv equipped ship...as far as I can tell from testing it, anyway.

Hmmm testing it singleplayer on the KCW shiplist with the Mirak slot and then the others with the same ship ought to tell us if mirvs only work for the Mirak.

Or we could just use the OP+4.0 shiplist... ;)

Right you are... but using identical ships in the different slots might be a more accurate test.

We were using the Lyran interface.  I had it happen to me for sure in my  C7, D5W and D7W.  I also flew a D5L for quite some time but I dont believe I had used that ship for planet assaults.

no , My point was that none of my ships had mirvs.  It was my light and heavy drones that were fired from my A and B racks (from a post about 6 back) that did not hit some planets.  If I put them into a scatterpack they would hit. If I fired them from my drone racks they would not.
