What is best time to play in your dyna?  I see too few players are online (Most are ISC pilots) last hour ago. :(

Any time is good on this server. What you saw earlier was the ISC Road Building Crew at work. Remember All Roads lead to Concordia. If not we'll build one to you ;D

Bonk just out of curiosity. is there a random generater for legendary officers on AI ships?  Last night I got torn apart by a L-JGP with Phasers and Disrupter's. even though I had a ICM def shift of 2. This AI was always hitting with all it's shots, even out to range 22 :o

The EEK missions do not have legendary officers (too buggy). Not sure about the NW or TG missions.

The AI Officer settings only actually have any effect with just ONE of the ship creation methods. No Legendary officers in my missions either, and nor are there any in Dave's either (I checked his source code). Legendary officers do not cause the "multiple-host" bug, by the way.

Thanks for the info Tracey! They do not cause the multiple host bug, but their double shots are often misinterpreted as the "double fire bug".

Hard to say really, just check in on the Webmap when you are free to play and you can see how many and who is on.

Bear in mind I have yet to edit the map to remove the Rogue Pirate hexes as not all scripts can handle them and weird DV shifts happen. I'll try and get that edit done today before I go out.

edit: done! all rogue pirate hexes edited to neutral, should show on your next map update or login.

I have the models for 4.0 - I get bad shiplist and fighter list, that's it.  clicking on the 4.0 link all I see are the models (unless I'm confused, and that happens quite easily).
Looking at the 4.0 page there are dowloads with models, without models, etc.  Nothing about a ship list.  DLing the no models one just to check, again it says it fixes ESG loop, and a few other things I already have!

Must... have... shiplist.. and... fighterlist... <in best Captain Kirk over drmatic acting>

Its not exactly known what the effects of AI Officer settings are. We are assuming that they follow the SFBs rules however. The default setting is "Senior" and above this are two more ranks, "Veteran" and "Legendary"

To really test their effects properly, we'd need to write a test script with hardcoded ships so that we can record the damage volleys and succesful hits over time and compare this statistically with the expected numbers. Certainly well worth doing but time consuming.

hi. got a question. on the forge webmap site i can see 6 players are online. but somehow i cant join in game. in fact the server isnt listed. i can see strayys tavern, bartok basement and squadron commander. but the forge server isnt there. funny thing is that i can log into the shipyard on the website and i can see whos online.
so the server is online isnt it?
was my ip banned or something? i was online yesterday and was pretty much damaged so i decided to crawl home to get supplies. on my way i forfeited alot of missions because i thought selfdestruction to respawn to homeworld is pretty lame. was that a mistake or did i break some rules?

Dogfighter hit refresh a few times if the forge is not showing up on the Campaign selector. That will usually bring it up.

Its back up now.

No dogfighter, your IP was not banned, you'd have to do something pretty mean and nasty for that to happen.

No forfeits please, it is dreadfully hard on the server, the option should not even exist.

(interesting note - when I started the server the mission matcher finished a mission match for Fluxchiller who had not logged back in yet... so I shut it down and restarted it again, its on the processsentinel now. Let me know if it "burps" excessively.)

Im a little unhappy. My B11V Super Battleship Carrier just evaporated for no apparant reason after successfully finishing a Star Dock raid, leaving me with a C7, which had been my escort for my carrier. there goes a LOT of BPV GRR!
