SFCII:EAW mission question
« on: August 20, 2005, 09:21:56 pm »
The mission labelled "All doors Must Open," the one where you go to talk to an ISC cruiser that wants secrets on your allies.  Ring a bell?
Anyway, typically, I get myself a DNH and use it to blast the crap out of the enemy cruiser, beam as many marines as I can over, then book it out of there as fast as I can and rarely manage to take it prisoner.  Is there a way to take on the whole fleet that appears on you?  Is there some secret strategy I have been missing?

But tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or fix this hole in a mother's son?
Can you heal the broken worlds within?
Can you strip away so we may start again?
Tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or cut this rope and let us run?
Just when all seems fine, and I'm pain free, you jab another pin,
Jab another pin in me

I have tried my best to fend off the whole enemy fleet too many times.  The best I've been able to manage was a Mexican stand-off in a missile cruiser that involved a lot of running away very very fast.  I'm not sure it's possible to beat the whole bunch of them.  Unless maybe you try it with three heavy cruiser type ships?

Hope some of that was helpful.

Have you ever tried to give it a full salvo, then run off the map while dragging the cruiser in a tractor at full speed and evading the rest of the ISC fleet? If I recall, that gives you the best result.
