In a way, that had me thinking why we were guarding our military edge while we gave out economic technology like candy while were the world's unquestionable leader in technology and economic growth as well? You cannot sustain a superpower status with military power alone, it takes a sustained thriving economy to support it. Just ask the Russkies.

I think you'll find that in the last 10 years China has been the world leader in economic growth while the rest of us have managed just small amount of growth.  On the military front the USA is only the strongest because of its technology.  Again when it comes to sheer man power the Chinees have all of us whooped!  In recent flooding over 2 million troops where mobilised to help.  As for the technology I think you'll find that Japan is years ahead of the rest of the world.  Maybe you should look into the figures published by the UN and the CIA, at both sites you will find the truth about these stats.

Umm...That's hard to believe. Americans weigh a lot more on average, so the balance should be firmly grounded in America, with those skinny Chinese bastards on the other side flung into the air.

You know.. that's true.. they have us in volume, but we might have the advantage in total mass.
