Arrrr, load chainshot you slackers, fire at their rigging to bring down the mainmast!  Ah the days.. when men were men (and sheep and little guys like Hexx were nevous).  So let's see then.  If you cout that I've been playing from the mid 1600's to the 2300's... 700 & some odd years?!

I still play Up Front! ( as Squad Leader became too cumbersome).  When I retire I will have a locked room wherein I play Fire in the East/Scorched Earth, which I have stored carefully all these years...

One of these days there will be a Con I get get to and play Grognard games.  Haven't been to Origins since 1985 (World Champion - "Diplomacy").

Speeking of "Diplomacy", I have that game.  NO one would play me after the first few games.  Dont figure.  I bet there are many many "Risk" players here too.  My best friend and I will be retiring from work just to move closer together and do gaming, board gaming that is.  The day you guys get put into your new retirment home for life, if you see 2 really old men battling it out on a board game in the Manor, please ask if one of us is Dfly.  If the altzeimers is not too bad, one of us should have an answer.

I went to Origins in '93. If you've never been there, and still have a longing for old grognard board games, GO! Most wasteful amount of money and time I ever spent over 4 days. It was a blast! I played SFB and Battletech and drank uncountable cans of beer that 4th of July weekend. If I ever get the chance, I'm going back.
